About
Hi, I’m Mina the person behind Morphera. 🖤
For as long as I can remember, I’ve carried a strange kind of longing with me.
Even when I was young, I already missed being younger. I’ve always wished the world had a little more magic in it and that ordinary things could hold stories, memories and tiny souls of their own.
I’ve also always felt like a contradiction. Soft, but drawn to the strange. Nostalgic, but constantly dreaming about what could be. A little dark, a little playful. Growing up, while desperately wanting to keep that childlike sense of wonder alive.
And somewhere along the way, I realized I don’t have to choose between those things.
Morphera was born from that in-between.
It’s my way of turning ideas, materials and sometimes forgotten or reused things into little creatures and objects that feel like they have a life of their own. Some are transformed, some are created entirely from scratch, but each one becomes a strange little soul with its own imperfections, personality and story.
Along the way, I’m lucky to have the support of my boyfriend Jan and his sister hannah, who share my love for the strange, the magical, and the belief that the world could use a little more of both. 🖤
Maybe that’s why “soft forms, strange souls” feels so much bigger to me than just a tagline.
I think I’ve spent a lot of my life looking for a little more magic in the world.
Morphera is my way of creating some.
